Are You Suffering From Back Pain? May 9, 2007

One of the computer related health issue that many people are suffering from is neck and back pain. Many people do not realize that if they have neck pain they will probably end up getting back pain. This is because the two are usually related.

I remember a time when I had what my doctor thought were migraine headaches. These went on for years until a friend of mine told me it didn’t sound like migraine but it sounded like I had a neck problem. Sure enough when I started to go to physical therapy and have my neck treated, the headaches went away.

The reason many people with neck pain get back pain is because so much stress is on the muscles of the neck that it is bound to affect the back. Due to long working hours and working in front of the computer for extended period of time, bad sitting position and work stress can cause muscle tension and pain on the back. It is also true that back pain can be the cause of neck pain. So it works both ways.
